How to Create, Edit, or Delete Icons

You can freely create, edit, or delete shortcut icons on your desktop.
With the Custom Icon features, you can also create your own unique icons.

Create Desktop Shortcuts

Create Desktop Shortcuts Using Existing Icons.

Shortcut Key

Press Ctrl + Space to open the launcher.

How to Set Up

  1. Select a program.
  2. Choose a theme from your icon packages.
  3. Pick a preferred icon from the detailed options.
  4. Click Create. The new shortcut icon will appear on your desktop.

If you don’t have the icon you want or any icon packages, install new ones from the Market. For detailed instructions, see the Iconiq Stock guide.

Shortcut keys can be customized in Personal Settings.

Create Custom IconsPro Only

You can create personalized icons using your own image files.

Shortcut Key

Press Ctrl + Space to open the launcher.

How to Navigate

  1. Select a program from the list.
  2. Click Create Custom Icon in the top-right corner of the icon package screen.

Creation Steps

  1. Select an image file (PNG, JPG, JPEG, ICO, BMP) from the file explorer.
  2. Adjust the image size and background color in the Icon Editor.
  3. Click Create.

The Create Custom Icon button is available at the top when creating your first icon.

After that, you can manage or add more icons directly within your Custom Icons package.

Your icons are saved automatically and can be reused anytime unless deleted.

The custom icon feature is available only with Paid Plans.

Edit Shortcut Icon

You can modify the design of any shortcut icon you have already created.

Right-Click Menu

Right-click the icon you wish to modify.

Modification Steps

  1. Select Edit Icon from the menu.
  2. Choose a theme from the icon packages.
  3. Pick your preferred icon from the detailed options.
  4. When the "Do you want to overwrite?" prompt appears, click Yes to apply the change.

Rename Program

You can customize the name of any program displayed on your desktop.

How to Change

  1. Double-click the program label.
  2. Enter the desired name and press desired name Enter.

Delete Shortcut Icon

You can delete any shortcut icon from your desktop.

Right-Click Menu

Right-click the icon you wish to delete.

Deletion Steps

Select Delete Icon from the menu.

Deleting a shortcut will not delete the original icon package or your custom icons. To permanently remove owned icons, please go to the Manage My Icons page.

The icon will be deleted immediately without a confirmation prompt.
